Terms of service
Million Seconds is operated by Giovanni Scollo, based in Panama City, Panama ("we", "us"). By buying a second or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What you are buying
You are buying a numbered listing on this website. Each second is a number between 1 and 1,000,000 that gets associated with you and with the content you choose to publish on it.
That is the whole thing. To be completely clear about what it is not:
- It is not an investment, a security, a share, or a financial product.
- It is not a token, an NFT, or any kind of blockchain asset.
- It has no resale value and we do not operate a resale market.
- It does not give you ownership of any actual unit of time, of the internet, or of anything outside this website.
- It does not entitle you to any payment, revenue share, or future benefit.
You are buying a novelty and a place on a public list. Please don't buy expecting anything else.
Price and allocation
One second costs one US dollar. There are no discounts, bulk rates, or promotions — 10 seconds always cost $10 and 300 seconds always cost $300.
Seconds are allocated in order. You receive the next available seconds at the time your payment is confirmed. You cannot currently choose a specific number, and your number reflects when you bought.
Each second is sold once. Once a number is claimed it cannot be claimed by anyone else.
Payment
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We never see or store your card details. Your purchase is confirmed when the payment provider confirms it to us, not when you are redirected back to the site.
All prices are in US dollars. Your bank may add its own foreign transaction fees, which are outside our control.
Your content
You choose what appears on your block, within the limits of our content policy. You keep ownership of what you publish. You give us permission to display, store, and reproduce it on this website and in share images generated from it, for as long as your block exists.
You confirm that you have the right to publish what you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
We review uploaded images before they are published. We can remove or hide any content that breaks our content policy, and we can do so without notice. Content removed for a policy violation is not refunded.
Availability
We will make a reasonable effort to keep this site running, but we can't promise it will exist forever. This is an independent experiment, not an institution. If the site shuts down, your block stops being displayed.
We say this plainly because you deserve to know it before you pay, not after. Please treat your purchase as something you spent a few dollars on for fun, and not as something with lasting value.
Acceptable use
Don't attempt to break, overload, scrape at scale, or interfere with the site. Don't try to claim seconds through means other than the normal purchase flow. Don't impersonate anyone. We may cancel purchases and block access where we believe these terms are being abused.
Limitation of liability
The site is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the site or your purchase is limited to the amount you paid us.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make a significant change, we'll note it here with a new date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Panama City, Panama.
